She is the author of Secularism and Hermeneutics (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2019), which examines textual exegesis as ingrained in confessional belonging and challenges the modern presumption that interpretation is indifferent to religious concerns. Her research interests include German theology, the German-Jewish tradition, and political theory. [**Brian Britt**](/authors/brian-britt/) is a professor of religion and cultural theory in the Department of Religion and Culture at Virginia Tech. His books include Walter Benjamin and the Bible (Continuum, 1996), Biblical Curses and the Displacement of Tradition (Sheffield Phoenix, 2011), Postsecular Benjamin: Agency and Tradition (Northwestern University Press, 2016), and Religion Around Walter Benjamin (in process). [**Roger Green**](/authors/roger-k-green/) is a senior lecturer in English at Metropolitan State University in Denver. He is the general editor of The New Polis and author of A Transatlantic Political Theology of Psychedelic Esthetics (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019). [**Nitzan Lebovic**](/authors/nitzan-lebovic/) is a professor of history and the Apter Chair of Holocaust Studies and Ethical Values at Lehigh University. He is the author of The Philosophy of Life and Death: Ludwig Klages and the Rise of Nazi Biopolitics (2013), and Zionism and Melancholy: The Short Life of Israel Zarchi (2019). He is the co-editor of The Politics of Nihilism (2014) and of Catastrophes: A History and Theory of an Operative Concept (2014), and editor of special issues of Rethinking History, The New German Critique, Comparative Literature and Culture, and Political Theology. [**Ori Rotlevy**](/authors/ori-rotlevy/) teaches at the International Liberal Arts Program at Tel Aviv University, and is a postdoctoral fellow at the Minerva Humanities Center there, where he co-directs a research group concerning “Tradition: Canon, Transmission and Critique”. He has co-edited a volume of the historical quarterly Zmanim, and published several essays on Benjamin and on Kant. [**Carlo Salzani**](/authors/carlo-salzani/) is a Gastwissenschaftler at the Messerli Research Institute of the University of Vienna, Austria. He has widely published, both in Italian and English, on Benjamin, Musil, Kafka, Agamben. He has also translated, among other things, some of Benjamin’s works into Italian. [**Daniel Weidner**](/authors/daniel-weidner/) is a professor of comparative literature at the University of Halle, Germany. His research interests include religion and literature, German-Jewish Studies, and the history of philology.
