[**Kurt Appel**](/authors/kurt-appel/) is Professor of Fundamental Theology at the Institute for Systematic Theology and Ethics of Catholic Theology at the University of Vienna as well as Speaker of the research platform “Religion and Transformation in Contemporary Society” at the same institution. He is author of Das Testament Der Zeit: Die Apokalyptik Und Ihre Gegenwartige Rezeption, co-author of Toward an African Theology of Fraternal Solidarity (Wipf & Stock, 2014), and numerous other books and articles in international publications.

[**Jakob Deibl**](/authors/jakob-deibl/) is Tenure-Track-Professor at the Faculty for Catholic Theology and scientific manager of the Research Centre for Religion and Transformation at the University of Vienna. He studied Catholic Theology and Religious Education in Salzburg and Vienna. From 2008 to 2011 he worked as a research associate (prae doc) at the Department of Fundamental Theology at the Faculty of Catholic Theology at the University of Vienna. His doctoral dissertation was on Gianni Vattimo. It was published with an introduction written by Vattimo himself as the fifth volume of the series “Religion and Transformation in Contemporary European Society”. In 2012.

[**Natalie Eder**](/authors/natalie-eder/) works is an Austrian national and translator, who works at the Austrian Ornithological Institute, the Vetmeduni Vienna. In addition to studying wildlife ecology, she supports the team in various citizen science projects, event management and science communication.

[**Isabella Guanzini**](/authors/isabella-guanzini/) is Professor of Fundamental Theology at the Catholic Private University (KU) Linz. She studied philosophy and theology in Milan and received doctoral degrees in theology at the University of Vienna (2012) and in philosophy at Milan (2013). From 2009-16 she lectured in philosophy at the Facoltà Teologica dellʾItalia Settentrionale in Milan and aesthetics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. From 2013 to 2019 she was the scientific manager of the Research Platform (now the Center) in Religion and Transformation in Contemporary European Society. She is the author five previous books including Spirit in a Bone: Postmodernism, Materialism, and Theology in Slavoj Žižek, Young Man Hegel and Paul: The Infatuation of Politics With Messianism (both in Italian) and Beginning and Origin: Hans Urs von Balthasar und Massimo Cacciari (in German). Her latest book is The Power of Joy: A Philosophy of the Affects (in Italian,forthcoming later this year).

[**Carl A. Raschke**](/authors/carl-raschke/) is Professor of Philosophy of Religion at the University of Denver and Senior Editor for the Journal for Cultural and Religious Theory. He is the author of over 25 books and hundreds of articles in international publications. His most recent book is Neoliberalism and Political Theology: From Kant to Identity Politics.

[**Rachel Thomas**](/authors/rachel-thomas/) is former assistant editor and translator for The Journal for Cultural and Religious Theory. She teaches in the Colorado Community College System.
